Get To Know Me

My name is Shannon Potter, and I am an Independent Recovery Coach and Support Coordinator based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. With over 16 years of experience in mental health and community services, I am passionate about helping people navigate challenges, achieve their goals, and live fulfilling lives.

I work with individuals experiencing conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depression and anxiety, complex PTSD, domestic violence, drug and alcohol addiction, OCD, general anxiety and depression, and degenerative physical disabilities.

In 2023, I established my independent service to directly support participants with Recovery Coaching and NDIS Support Coordination. In 2025, I became a registered NDIS provider. My focus is to provide personalised, compassionate, and practical guidance to ensure the best outcomes for participants navigating their NDIS plans and life challenges.

My approach is grounded in compassion, understanding, and a strong belief that every individual has the capacity to grow, recover, and create a meaningful life. I take a person-centred, strengths-based approach, working alongside participants and their support networks to ensure they feel empowered, supported, and heard every step of the way.

I am deeply committed to helping people find their way through challenging times, build resilience, and reconnect with their goals, community, and sense of purpose.

If you feel I may be the right fit to support your journey, I warmly invite you to get in touch. I look forward to meeting you.

My Journey

My Background

My journey into recovery coaching and support coordination has been shaped by over 16 years of working alongside individuals facing complex mental health challenges and life transitions. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of supporting people during some of the most difficult periods of their lives — and witnessing their strength, resilience, and capacity for growth.

Over time, I developed a deep passion for not only supporting people through crisis, but walking alongside them as they rebuild, rediscover purpose, and create meaningful lives within their communities.

In 2023, I made the decision to establish my own independent service so I could work more closely and personally with participants, providing flexible, individualised support. In 2025, I became a registered NDIS provider, continuing to grow a service grounded in compassion, professionalism, and genuine care.

My work is driven by a strong belief that recovery is possible for everyone, and that with the right support, people can move forward with confidence, clarity, and hope.
